I’ve seldom found myself at a loss for words, even when I don’t necessarily know what I’m talking about. But this, this unbeliveably kind and generous support from blogging friends and blog readers… it’s astonishing. How do I tell you how overwhelmed and distraught I felt over this enormous dental bill, and how humbled and grateful I am that, with your donations, I’m over halfway there?
There are so many of you who’ve sent encouraging, thoughtful notes or donations. I’ve finally caught up on my “Thank You” notes, I believe, and yet I still feel as if I can’t thank you enough. I feel so very privileged and so proud to be part of the blogosphere, where distance and sight are not barriers to friendship, and friendship is not a pre-requisite for caring. I will never, ever underestimate the kindness of the human spirit again.
So let me at least show my support and gratitude for the bloggers out there who’ve publicized or donated — and in many instances, have done both — by asking you to visit their blogs. “Clicks” are the customary currency in the blogosphere, and if I can repay them in some small way by driving traffic in their direction, then I’ll at least feel like I’ve done something to be worthy of how wonderful they’ve been to me. These are fantastic people, every one of them, and every single one writes a damn fine blog.
[Note (8/6/05): I have moved this list in its entirey to the sidebar and encourage you to frequent each of the blogs listed under "Fang Friends." Please be sure to contact me if I left you out of the list, because I don't want to slight you or how generous you've been by promoting the Fang Fund.]
God bless you all for bringing me this far. I am so very grateful for each and every one of you. Thanks for helping me get my smile back!
UPDATE: Why, yes, that was all messed up. As I mentioned, having “dry socket” forced me to take another pain killer, and I’m one of those people whose systems go loopy after ingesting such things. My apologies if I misspelled your or your blog’s name, or if I sent you duplicate pings. Bear with me, folks. I’m still mostly a mess.
Ok, and now I really am going to bed. I’ve got my fingers crossed that I’ll be able to color in more of the Fang Fund tracker on the sidebar when I wake up. It’s over halfway there, and the goal is in sight! But meanwhile, these new pain killers are too much for me. Uncle. Uuuuuunclllllleeeeee!

Hey, you missed me (John at “As a matter of fact, it is all about me”). Those pain killers can play hell with your focus.

I knew the blogosfear wouldn’t let you down, but even I’m stunned by the speed. I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to see this outpouring. You’ve earned it, sugar.

Me!
I linked you at 12:36 eastern time Wednesday, with a post title of “Put Your Money Where Her Mouth Is.”
I also e-mailed you, but it was apparently an abandoned address and bounced.

Meant to note that I tried to trackback at the time, but the trackback was rejected. These things happen.

Wish I could do more…but have linked to your pages and made note of the fang fund. And George, better known as “Riverdog” has done the same as well. Hope you have that dazzling smile back in no time!
