Art Auction

by Venomous Kate

You may know Randy Thomas for his blog Everyday Thoughts Collected, but what you may not know is that he is also a very talented artist and blogs at Wisedove Creative Arts.

Randy has generously offered to auction off one of his drawings — one which just happens to be my favorite — to benefit the Fang Fund. The picture is a beautiful 11″x14″ drawing using Pantone Letraset Pens on Bristol Board Paper. (Understanding very little about art myself, besides knowing what I like to look at, I’ve been assured by Randy that these are very high quality materials suitable for framing and proudly displaying in your home or office.)

The auction is being hosted by that man of the unpronounceable name, Xrlq, who has devised a fair and easily-monitored way to conduct this art auction.

Specifically, the auction is open bidding with no reserve. Bids should be made in the comment section of Xrlq’s Art Auction entry and nowhere else, and should be placed in accordance with the direction’s you’ll find at Xrlq’s place. Unsuccessful bids don’t obligate you to donate to the Fang Fund, and only the winning bidder will be contacted to arrange payment and shipping methods.

To avoid confusion, the comments on my entry are closed so if you have any questions, please drop us a line and either Randy, Xrlq or I will respond.

The deadline for bidding is 12:01 a.m., Pacific Daylight Time, on Thursday, August 11. (In other words, get your bids in by midnight on Wednesday if you live on the Pacific coast, by 2:00 a.m. on Thursday if you live in the Central time zone as I do, or by 3:00 a.m. on Thursday for you Right Coasters.)

Please note: In the event that the Fang Fund is full before the auction closes, Randy will be donating the proceeds in the winner’s name to Operation Gratitude, a non-profit, all-volunteer organization providing care packages as a way of demonstrating appreciation and respect for U.S. Military members serving overseas.

Good luck, and Fangs for bidding!
