After two years and two months of living less than 4 blocks apart, Beth and I are finally — finally! — getting together for drinks this evening. Oh, we’ve tried before but something’s always come up. This time, however, nothing’s standing in our way.
Not even my bedroom closet which, after three days of hard work (including 4 boxes of clothes and shoes for Goodwill, 3 trash bags and the eradication of a small colony of spiders) is now clean. I mean cleeeeeaaaan. Organized, too! Why, just looking at it makes me consider moving in there to live until the rest of the house is as nice.

Lucky you. I always wanted to meet Beth.
Then again, I always wanted to meet you.

And we had a great time! We are going to go to Karaoke night someday – I’ve never been. Kate can sing. I can’t.

My turn next, but we live a bit more than four blocks apart, more like two states… But I have been married to my retired military husband for 9 years as well! (10 years in May…) How about you ladies?

We had our 9th anniversary on December 7th. What state are you in?

Illinois, between Chicago and Milwaukee.

I am such an idiot. I’ll be married 9 years in May. I always forget that it’s the 8th and not the 9th of May too. I’m tired.

So very strange. Bloggers all seem to live next to each other but me, and I’m in NYC. v. strange.

I’m out on the other coast. I think Beth and Kate are an isolated case of bloggers who read each other living nearby.

How about a frequent-reader-that’s-considered-blogging-but-hasn’t-because-he-hasn’t-had-time?

Kim – Our 9th is July 3.
MW – Think how I felt when I lived in Hawaii! That’s when I “met” Beth online. Then moved here 2 1/2 years ago and have lived so close without getting together.
WG – There’s no time like the present. ;D

Near famous dates, all. Beth’s is Pearl Harbor day, I was married the day before Mother’s Day (that year) and your’s is the day before Independence Day.

Heh. Almost makes you wonder if we planned our weddings to ensure our husbands would be able to take time off to celebrate anniversaries!

I can get bigger presents since Mother’s Day/Anniversary are close together. I ended up with a Dyson Animal Vacuum a couple years ago, but I wanted it and it is soo great!
