DHL Finally — FINALLY! — Delivered
My 2-day package that DHL picked up from Amazon on 12/6/07 arrived today. That’s right: two days turned into seventeen days.
Oddly enough, I’d heard DHL doesn’t even deliver on Sundays, but sometime between when VH shoveled the front step around lunchtime today and when I stepped out to run to the store at 5:30, the DHL Express Kansas City driver from showed up and left the package outside.
On the driveway.
At the end of it.
Near the street.
Perhaps s/he knew better than to get within firing distance?
UPDATE: This isn’t the end of the story, folks. My package did finally arrive, and then DHL did something that amazed me!

You should have given the driver a blowjob. Maybe they’ll deliver to your house faster next time.
I sure hope you’re not the Doug from DHL who commented earlier (but I can always check IP addresses to find out) .
Kim, I’ll return the duplicate items to Amazon once they arrive. It’s too late to cancel, but my re-order is being delivered tomorrow via UPS. It contains other items, too, so I’ll have to arrange the return shipment after Christmas.
You are a good girl. I’ll make sure Santa knows.

I’m sorry it happened to you, but I’m surprised it doesn’t happen more often.
We got stuff delivered today that Amazon told me wouldn’t get here until later in the week….

To be fair, that’s how UPS tends to leave my packages too. I usually have to run to the middle of the street dodging rush hour traffic to pick up my package, and then pray to God I’m not grabbing it up at the same moment an 18 wheeler decides to zoom down my road in a mad rush to get to his next stop.
Fun times.
Kate, let them know when you send it, and make sure you send it DHL. Give em a taste of their own medicine. LOL

The driver probably tossed the package out of their window, not even stopping! They knew better than to linger.
Glad you finally got it.

You’re luck they actually delivered it; I know several people who have sworn off DHL because they lost the package. That is completely and utterly lost, no idea where it is, nothing.
