Dear Washington Post, Reuters, CNN, NJ.Com and other “Big Media”:

I loathe your pop-ups that ask for my zip code and year of birth. I hate your windows that ask me to select an edition. I detest the stupidity which led you to them.

Are you so naive as to not realize that 90% of people lie in response to your questions?

Are you so self-involved as to think that readers will put up with an endless stream of irritation just to access the news through you?

Well, let me give you a news flash: if you are foolish enough to believe that providing the news gives you rights to demand information from me and to install a cookie on my computer system, then you’re not smart enough to be my news outlet anymore. I’ll stick with Google.
