I’m in the mood for a slick new skin. Unfortunately, I lack both the coding skills and the time to design one. So I figured I’d see if there’s anyone out there interested in designing a 2- or 3-column PHP-friendly MT-based skin for me in exchange for six - count ‘em, 6 - free months of advertising on Electric Venom (plus my undying gratitude).

For the curious, here are the minimal specs:

1. It must be a Medusa- (preferably) or snake-themed skin.

2. I despise neon colors, and green-on-black gives me migraines. Incidentally, I’m not the only one who experiences that reaction… something to keep in mind when designing.

3. I’d really like to move to a pure CSS-based design rather than tables.

4. It must be cross-browser friendly. A goodly percentage of EV readers use Mozilla, Opera and Safari even though I use IE 6 (and, no, you can’t talk me out of my browser so don’t try).

UPDATE: I honestly didn’t expect to receive any replies to my offer and have been thrilled to receive screenshots of designs created by some fantastically talented folks! I’m going to mull over the designs received by this Friday and will pick one over the weekend that will serve as the new look for Electric Venom as we ring in the New Year. That designer will receive the 6 months of free ad space.

But, since I hate making decisions, I’m also going to pick at least one other as an alternate that will be available in the Skins Gallery. The designer(s) of any alternate skin(s) will get 3 months of free advertising. Fair enough?
