Ditch some of those buttons and javascripts that you’re running and, for Pete’s sake, consider checking out how your website looks in other browsers so you can stop breaking mine!

Best. Suggestion. Ever. I recently ditched one script-heavy theme for a lookalike that misses the bells and whistles, but is 1/6 the size and only uses a couple of scripts from plugins.

I am new, as you know Kate, to this bloggin game. I get quite a few hits for no longer than I have been around but not many comments. I would like to get more interaction. I have always felt that blogs are akin to talk radio in the respect that lots of people listen; few people call or comment as the case may be...so how do you get people to say a few words beyond invoking religion, abortion, politics or sexual orientation.
