Dee at CEO Mum has honored me with the Arte y Pico award, which basically means she thinks that I rock. Given the time of day (I’m so not a morning person) and the number of writing deadlines I have in the next 12 hours before my flight to Texas tomorrow, I’m grateful for the chance to post something without burning out more brain cells.

Here’s the deal. To accept this award I have to post a picture of it, which you can see above. Also, I have to explain the rules:

1. Pick five blogs that you consider deserve this award in terms of creativity, design, interesting material, and general contributions to the blogger community, no matter what language.

2. Each award has to have the name of the author and also a link to his or her blog to be visited by everyone.

3. Each winner has to show the award and give the name and link to the blog that has given him or her the award itself.

Janet at Good Enough Mom – In addition to mothering four little ones, Jae is also pursuing a Master’s Degree yet still somehow finds time to blog. I admit, I first fell in love with her blog’s name: it’s a standard more mothers need to accept for themselves. But it’s her honest, straight-forward writing about her life that keeps me coming back daily. And I just love that design.

Chaz at Dustbury – I’d call him the “Granddaddy of the Blogosphere” but he might take it personally, so let me just day that Chaz’s blog is a daily stop of mine due to his varied interests, dry wit and clean style. Also, because he links me. Regularly.

Kimsch at Musing Minds – Not only is she a dear friend, I enjoy Kim’s mix of topics ranging from the political to the personal. Even though I stop by her blog every single day, it’s Kim’s “Monday Morning Musings” which I truly look forward to. You just never know what’s going to be on her mind from week to week!

Linc at Habitation of Justice – Whether he’s writing about how A-List bloggers suck or complaining about his lack of a love life, a daily visit to Linc’s place makes me glad to be me. Nah, I’m kidding. Kind of. I like his stuff, particularly now that he’s given up that horrible all-black background that made reading outdoors on my laptop impossible… even if he does get a bit whiny now and then.

Agent Bedhead – Okay, so celebrity gossip isn’t everyone’s thing, but I sure crave a daily dose of it. Agent Bedhead delivers and she does so with a nice, hefty helping of snarkiness at the same time. Plus her design rocks… even if she is a vegetarian.

So I’m glad to accept this award and want to extend many thanks to CEO Mum for the award, and to all of my fellow bloggers who make mornings worthwhile by constantly delivering fun, informative and occasionally thought-provoking stuff.
