This is my grand-niece, Gwyneth. If you’ve read any of my blogs for long, you know that I have never, ever posted a picture of a family member before, and that I have a strict policy about using pseudonyms for my relatives, particularly children.
This time I’m making an exception.
Today we learned that Gwyneth has methicillin-resistant Staph aureus, a frequently lethal skin infection more commonly known as MRSA. Please pray for her and her young parents, or if you don’t pray then please keep her in your thoughts.

What a sweet little girl.
She will be added to the daily prayer list in our home as will her family.

done.

What a little doll. Of course she will be in my prayers. I’ll also pray that they find something that works on that nasty MRSA. That infection is spreading like wildfire and it seems to be children who are affected the most. God bless little Gwyneth.

Thank you Sue, Jeff and Tyla Mac. She’s truly a little angel, and this is quite a shock for her parents. My niece (her mother) just had another baby in September, so the family truly has its hands full right now.

What a precious child to be going through such a miserable illness. Of course she will be remembered in my prayers as will her parents and your family. Both Boy#1 and Baby Boy take a medication that MRSA is a possible side effect of. I thank the gods daily that they have been on stable doses with no signs of the illness/side effect for 2 years. May she and her parents be blessed with an abundance of grace and health.

Is there a way you could use your amazon wish list to let us send her coloring books or some such that will help her focus on something else? I have a great deal of empathy for her and her family. Fortunately, medical science is pretty good these days; so, things should be ok.

Such an adorable baby, and she and her family will definitely be in my thoughts.

Good thoughts and prayers head her way

What an edible child! I just love plump little rolls on baby arms. I will certainly keep her in my thoughts, and her family too. (I did a little Googling, and the morbidity rates don’t seem alarming thus far. I’m sure she will be fine.)

She will be in our prayers and we will ask our Sunday School class to pray for her when we meet on Sunday.

She is in my thoughts. I thought it might be something bad when I saw this little cutie open up in my reader, since I never see you post pictures.
Pleas post an update when you get a chance!

I will certainly be praying for her tonight. Let us know how she is doing.

Hey everyone, your prayers are working. Gwyn’s sores are down from silver dollar-sized to pea-sized, and she’s eating voraciously. Both of those are very good signs.
Thank you!

Any step forward when it comes to a child with an illness is wonderful.
Our family will continue to pray that this little one continues on the road to complete recovery.
