Finally – after nearly an entire week of wrestling with the home computers and battling network hackers – things appear to be under control. For now.

However, once again I had to wipe out my address book and email when I reformatted my hard drive because I just wasn’t willing to risk transferring virus-laden files back onto my system. Now that I’ve installed a spam-blocker, a different email application, a personal firewall, and a different anti-virus program, I’m feeling a little bit of relief.

But if you’ve written me an email in the past two weeks and I haven’t answered, could you please send it again? After today, I promise that if I don’t write back to you in a timely fashion, it’s not because I’ve deleted my address book.
