Finally, it’s snowing pretty darned good here. That means the Weather Dudes are earning their salaries, while everyone else hopes they’re lucky enough to get out of having to work. Meanwhile, the “Church Closings” for tomorrow have started scrolling across the ticker at the bottom of my TV screen.
Which always makes me wonder: why close a church on Sunday just because it’s snowing? I mean, shouldn’t it be up to God whether someone dies on icy roads en route to church?

Enjoy the snow.
I’d say more, but I figure I’ll see if this comment goes through. I tried to leave a comment yesterday and it disappeared.

Figures – I write something long and it goes into the ether – I write something inane and there it is.

It’s more about sleeping in, me thinks.

I have never, in my entire life (and I think I’ve got a few years on you) heard of a church closing due to snow. Never. Schools, yes.

Sorry, Terry–My church back home, where my mother still attends, closed this morning due to snow.

Teresa, I snagged your previous comment and booted it back into the post it belonged in.
