One day - about a week ago - I noticed the battery icon in my task bar kept lighting up even when the machine was plugged in. I finally figured out that one of the wires within the adapter was loose, and the only way to ensure power was to arrange everything <em>just so</em>. All that was fine and dandy, until the other night when I moved the laptop off the dining table because we were having company for dinner. Then it went kaput, and hadn't worked since.
