I actually have no idea how I ruined it. One day - about a week ago - I noticed the battery icon in my task bar kept lighting up even when the machine was plugged in. I finally figured out that one of the wires within the adapter was loose, and the only way to ensure power was to arrange everything just so. All that was fine and dandy, until the other night when I moved the laptop off the dining table because we were having company for dinner. Then it went kaput, and hadn't worked since.

Might want to order a spare power cord. I don't even want to think about how anyone manages to ruin a power cord. Well yes I do, but it involves some pretty kinky stuff with bean dip, feathers and a wet suit, but that is for another time.

My brother was stationed at Kaneohe for two years. Normal rotation is only a year, but my poor, stupid brother somehow failed and had to spend a second year there.

Hawaii may seem like paradise, but not on a lance corporal's (and later, PFC's, but that's another dumb brother story) salary.
