When Two Opinions Collide
In general terms, I have very low regard for bloggers who carelessly read posts on other blogs and, in an effort to demonstrate their “superiority,” scurry to their own blogs to post “retorts” designed to impugne the original writer in front of the retorter’s fawning audience. Why? Because if the blogger had any balls they wouldn’t put their opinion in front of their syncophants, but rather would post it where the original writer – and his or her like-minded readers – could respond in kind and in a timely fashion.
Hence, I have a hell of a lot more respect for people that venture into my comment area and call me “vile” or conceited than for people who take their jabs from a distance.
Having said that, I also generally dislike “fisks,” as I’ve said elsewhere.
But every now and then, I encounter someone who “fisks” one of those cowardly bloggers, and I just have to sit back and admire.
