Whiners.

You’d think that with stories like this, the French would be whining a little less about their heat wave.

French say heat may produce best wine since 1947

The European heat wave is giving French vintners a head start on this season’s harvest as record temperatures produce sweet, plump grapes ready to be picked weeks earlier than usual.

Many vintners throughout Europe say they’ve had the best conditions since the sweltering summer of 1947 – a legendary year for wine.

Which just goes to prove that in order to make a good wine, you’ve got to break a sweat.

Whiners

First glance at the subject-lines in my email box says there’s a slew of stuff about the blogroll editing I did last night. I’m guessing 90% of it is complaints. I’m also guessing that by the end of the day, most of those folks sending complaints are going to be wishing they could retrieve their email before I read it.

See, I only removed 6 names from the roll. But rather than having a roll that ran the length of my page, I reduced it to show rotate 12 names from the 100-name list, with a link to the remainder. That way, instead of a group of 10 sitting at the top as they did with my “Daily Bites,” everyone gets top billing. Because, frankly, I like the blogs on my blogroll and I think everyone ought to be reading them.

So quit whining. All I did was tidy up the place. Weenies.
