@#$(*&%!
My cable internet access is back. For now. Once again, the technician indicated that the heading unit (or something like that) outside needs to be replaced, and once again I was told that the repair department would submit a service request so another crew could come out and take care of it. And, once again, by the time the technician left he’d decided that the problem was not the heading unit (or whatever) outside but, rather, a wholly different problem.
This time, it was supposedly the cable modem itself. Supposedly, the dBs were well outside the “borderline” and with the new cable they’re well within the limits, if not above-average. I say “supposedly” because this technician – unlike most of the other 8 who’ve been here – seemed to actually know what he was talking about. But after having to call for repairs 9 times in 16 months – and each time being told it was something other than the corroded equipment at the top of the utility pole outside – I’m a little skeptical.
Anyway.
I’ve got a ton of email and news-reading to catch up on before returning to spew more venom. And, yes, my pretties, I have plenty of venom stored up and ready to share with you.
