Hooters waitresses are dressed no more racily than the cheerleaders at a high school football game. It connotation of the name is worse than the actual presentation — at least up here in Boston. I represented the people that established the first Boston Hooters — you’d have thought they were opening a strip club. Some of the Hooters restaurants in the south are a bit more revealing.

I’d have to say, however, that the birthday party for adolescent boys is really sort of putting the moth in the flame.

Is it just me, or is that repugnant to others? I rather miss the sense of decency and propriety that people used to demonstrate (mostly) in public.

Then again, I’m old enough to remember dressing up in Sunday Going-To-Church clothes to take an airplane (and that we actually had separate clothing for such a function, rather than blue jeans being OK everywhere).

I disagree with “She’s clueless because she thinks Hooter’s is Family Friendly.” See, I have this friend who’s been to Hooter’s, he says that you would not believe the number of families there. My friend has seen birthday parties for adolescent boys there, complete with competitions for getting kisses from the waitresses. Young boy sports teams go there, under coach and parent supervision, for after-game food. In the ‘defining deviancy down’ era, Hooter’s is what passes for family friendly.

WOOT WOOT. I saw this lil’ hottie trying to look prim and cute on the Today show. If Matt were a few years younger he may have had her doing the mamba for him in the green room. Love the crotch shot, and especially Mom’s proud smiles as her daughter cluelessly flashed the world.
I predict the horny sugar daddies will be lining up to sweep here into their UN-sponsored limos soon.

Interestingly enough, she sat with a blanket over her lap through most of the interview and then took it off to make the point that it showed nothing. Which makes me wonder if she ever saw that crotch shot from the Lauer interview. Her closing statement? “I did not get waxed before this and you cannot tell.”

Steve, panties are underwear. Underwear — by definition — is supposed to be worn under something. Being under something implies being covered.

Saying “they’re just panties” can just as easily become “it’s just skin” so why should it be covered? Everybody’s got skin, right? Heck, half the population has a cootchie, so why bother covering it?

Please.

As for a bathing suit bottom, if she’s wearing it in place of panties then YES it should be covered.

Again, my point wasn’t to defend the flight attendant coming up capriciously with a dress code and choosing one girl to humiliate. My point was that the girl herself demonstrated a lack of decency that’s becoming rather endemic in the U.S. these days.

Frankly, I’m in favor of airlines and other public locations coming up with dress codes then both posting and enforcing them. Perhaps reminding people that there’s a different manner of dressing when one’s in public will remind them there is also a different manner of behaving when one’s in public, too.
