Too funny!

I actually thought about recording my calls with DHL and now wish I had. What a clip that would be: "Your package will arrive today...My package isn't here...Your package will arrive today...My package STILL isn't here... Your package will arrive today... WHERE IS MY PACKAGE... Thank you for calling DHL, we will give your call and delivery the attention it deserves."

Obviously, DHL has a different opinion about that last point than I do.

Maybe it's all customer service. My horror show this season has been with Amazon's Thai center.

I'm not sure, but I think somewhere around the 5th moron I dealt with I found myself losing it. I know I treated the last rep to a fairly long string of multi-syllable words you can't say on basic cable.

Ho freakin' ho.

If they really did record the conversation "for training purposes" I'm sure it will make for interesting classroom fare: "Teacher, what does he mean? Can a customer service representative really do that with a dog and his mother at the same time?"

Tony Iovino's last blog post..Friday Quickies

Doug, I'm pleased to hear that DHL is aware of the need to improve customer service. However, if you've looked at my tracking info here you can probably understand why I am OUT of patience and feel that I have been repeatedly lied to.

I work for DHL. It's the busy Chistmas season so deliveries will be delayed due to the surge in volume. Also, some service centers may be having to staff extra drivers that may be untrained and don't know the area as well as the regular driver does. DHL will be focusing on customer service in 2008 after tying to gain market share since their entry into the United States. Please have patience and understanding.

I think that's a very wise decision, Brian, since customers usually have a hard time not blaming the seller for delivery problems. I'm sorry that you and your customer are having to go through this, too, particularly since it concerns a holiday gift.

I feel your pain. A client of my business needed a piece to be used as a holiday gift. I order my parts through my supplier with 2 day express shipping paid for....

We are now on day 4 , still no package, there tracking says it just left Kansas (Note I am in North Carolina)

I am extremely displeased, because not only have I had to deal with very similar "customer support" nightmares, but then to have them essentially tell me (it will get there when it gets there) I have to call my client and explain my sorrow for not being able to get the item they were going to give as a gift ready on time.

I will be avoiding DHL for any and all future business transactions.

Oh, I think that continuing to blog about how DHL Express in Kansas City did not deliver my package on time ... or even at ALL ... will eventually stick it to them.

s had issues with Amazon’s use of DHL to ship a package with a 2-day shipping option… and issues with DHL’s customer service reps, who presumably need to learn customer service skills. The saga begins… andcontinues.
