When Diamond’s Aren’t A Girl’s Best Friend

I think I’d go ringless after this:

The $3,000 two-diamond ring was given to Maria Reilly by her husband Tim two years ago to celebrate the birth of their twins. But on Monday, Reilly discovered the ring missing from her home after a visit by a carpet cleaning crew.

Fortunately, the ring showed up shortly afterwards. Unfortunately, it was in a worker’s stomach.

Carpet cleaner Daniel Dyament, 19, admitted swiping the ring and then swallowing it when he saw investigators at the house, according to police. An X-ray confirmed his story.

Dyament, who was charged with larceny from a building, agreed to help police recover the stolen ring. And since all things must pass, police made special arrangements to recover the ring.
