Delayed Justice.
A fat lot of good this is going to do:
A man hanged for murder 53 years ago has had his conviction overturned by the Court of Appeal.
Three judges in London ruled the conviction of Liverpool man George Kelly, who was executed on March 28, 1950, was unsafe.
The decision by Lord Justice Rix, Mr Justice Douglas Brown and Mr Justice Davis brought to an end one of Britain’s oldest miscarriages of justice.
The Crown did not oppose the appeal bid.
During the hearing the judges were told that a statement given to police by a prosecution witness, claiming that a man called Donald Johnson had confessed to the crime to him, had not been disclosed by police.
I guess “justice” means never having to say you’re sorry.
