Otto, I’ve seen the doctor and she has seen me. Neither of us has yet to discover a migraine preventative, short of possibly getting a hysterectomy. And I’m not ready for that yet!

My evening drink is always a cheap blended scotch; while I like single malts, my consumption is high enough to make single malts too expensive.

(My ex-wife, before I made the mistake of marrying her, bought Laphroiagh for me; the best scotch ever. Once, when she was marinating some beef, she decided to use a bottle of scotch I kept for people I did not like. When we sat down to dinner, her son said “This tastes like burnt plastic.”

(Well, he had not probably tasted burnt plastic, but, thanks to a Cub Scout project, we had smelt it. With her usual compassion, she told him to eat it and stop complaining. However, when I tasted her dinner, I agreed with him and said “Honey, let’s order in pizza.” I asked her about her marinade, and noted that the scotch she used was reserved for people I did not like.) (The pizza was good; or, at least, better than the marinated beef.)

I’ve written too much, but that’s what happens when one drinks a little too much: Don’t drink and post.

Kate, have you talked to your physician about the migranes? I don’t read any daily except for the WSJ, but I seem to remember that there are new recent discoveries and medications for migranes.
