I’m a bit late for Tummy Tuesday #24, but that’s because I couldn’t find Pippin’s “Mousey” until this morning. Evidently, he’s decided that the best place to store it is underneath my pillow. I’m sure you can imagine how freaked out I was when I first found it there, until I realized it was only a toy.

That’s a very cute kittie.
I have a grey persian named Gandalf the Grey – and we named him before the movie came out (he is about 10 years old).
Maybe they are meant to go on a journey together!
Oh, and we also have a kittie named Merri – short for Merriwether (he’s an explorer) – LOTR, kitty style.

LOL! I keep asking VH for another kitten so I could name it Merri.

You know, I have to say Pippin is the most cuddly cat I’ve ever had. He’s never more than a foot away from me, unless he’s eating, and follows me from room to room. His favorite place to sleep is right above my head on the pillow, or else in the hollow of my neck. It’s sweet, really — kind of like having a stuffed animal that walks and purrs. He even “cleans” me — although he picks the worst time to do it, usually by licking my forehead at 3 a.m.

Kate, you might want to rethink that. It’s cute when they’re a month or two old, but what about when he’s full grown and wants to sleep on your head? o.O

Well, that’s kind of what I’m wondering: is he going to outgrow this. Because, you’re right: it’s cute for now but at some point I’m going to want to be able to, say, sit on the sofa with my laptop but without a cat draped over my shoulders (as he is right now).

I guarantee you, if Mommy is a cushion when he’s a baby, Mommy will always be a cushion, and he’ll get really annoyed at you brushing him off.

Well, I’m not sure that’s such a bad thing. It might be the best possible form of birth control short of surgery, yannow? ;P

For you, or for the cat?
