Everything *Must* Go!
I’m sick of not having a laptop. Yes, I realize I’m awfully fortunate to have a computer and high-speed internet in the first place, and, yes, I realize starving children in Ethiopia don’t have those things. They’re welcome to my old one, if that helps.
Ever since my laptop died, I’ve had to wait in line to use the computer. My son has first priority, since he uses it for some of his homeschool courses as well as various “webquests” I put together for his other subjects. That means I have to sneak blogging, email and writing in between — or wait for weeks like this when he’s been down with a cold and not interested in school. Yep, seeing a “bright side” to your kid being sick sounds pretty awful, too.
Unfortunately, since our budget is already stretched tight, buying a new laptop has been out of the question. Or, at least, it was until my advertisers renewed their ads earlier this week. Now I’m 1/3 of the way there!
So, this weekend I’ll be culling our closets and drawers for things to sell on eBay, along with our homeschool shelves so I can sell off last year’s curricula (which, since I also have the teacher’s editions for sale, we’ll be listing on Homeschool Buy).
With luck (and some serious bidders) that new laptop is only a week away!
