I’m Baaaaaaack!

Antibiotics rock. Seriously, I’d begun to think I was never going to feel better again, but four days of horse-sized pills and plenty of bed rest did the trick.

Just in time to watch one of the best Super Bowl games, ever, too. Unfortunately, I was already nodding off again midway through the celebrity pre-game interviews. (Which reminds me: is it just my imagination or is the top of John Travolta’s head getting smaller every year?) Didn’t snooze for long, though: with both VH and the Big-Eyed Boy rooting for the Giants there was plenty of hollering around the Venomous Household.

Now I just need to get caught up on email, dishes, laundry, dusting, vacuuming and emptying the cat boxes. Oh, and blogging, of course!

What have you been up to in my absence?

Glad you are feeling better.

What I have been up to is hardly important, but I have so far lost one wife, am close to losing the house, and… oh, I posted something!

Wish I could send some of my laundry your way, Lori!

Jeff… don’t know what to say. That all sucks. Except the posting part.

So glad you are feeling better… we watched the game too but didn’t find it nearly as exciting - LOL - well, at least not til the fourth quarter. I was even a li’l disappointed in the commercials this year and I’m sorry but Tom Petty put me to sleep (”freeeee fallllinnnnnn…..” *snore*!). We also went out for karaoke TWO NIGHTS IN A ROW… turns out, I no longer have to be drunk to participate in this activity. (I’m still not any good, but I’ve found that the secret is to pick a song that the whole bar will sing along to so it doesn’t really matter! Ha!!!) Keep up the recovery, hon, glad you are better! ~ Janet

Since most Super Bowl games lately have been slaughters early on, I rather enjoyed not knowing just how it was going to turn out. But I agree, the commercials were ho-hum. (It didn’t help that I was also playing a new computer game at the time and wasn’t paying much attention.)

Hate Tom Petty, though. Ugh. VH is a big Petty fan but even he got up and went to the kitchen instead of sitting there watching.

Frankly, I wish all these geriatric rock stars would quit trying to relive their glory days.

Red’s a huge Tom Petty fan…I like him but can best describe my liking for his music as nice-to-listen-to-every-so-often-but-not-all-the-time.

I posted a couple of things over at my place. Yes, I know you probably have more snow, but there’s one town just up the road from me that’s asking for help from FEMA due to the record-breaking 12′ of snow they’ve gotten in the last 45 days.

I describe Tom Petty’s singing as reminiscent of a mating goat. Come to think of it, there’s also slight physical resemblance there.

Twelve feet of snow? Dang!

Confucius say: Man who live in mountains that get snow should build extra-heavy-duty roof.

What have I been doing? Why, hoping that you were all right since I hadn’t seen any blogging activity! I got a little concerned. And now you’re well. Life is good again! :D
