Two days of evident silence (although I’ve been active in the ‘Comment’ section.) My apologies, but I’ve been doing my research in regards to Monday’s Home School entry.
Meanwhile, my little boy stayed home today with a 100-degree (F) fever and a cough reminiscent of an angry seal’s bark. Of course, he still had plenty of energy — it’s amazing how kids can be that sick yet still full of pep. So we spent the day snuggling on the sofa and reading books to each other — not a bad way to pass a chilly Wednesday, I’d say.
But while he was napping, I took Kim du Toit’s wonderful email advice and registered with the Home School Legal Defense Association, then registered my “non-accredited private school” with the state of Kansas, a requirement for all home schoolers in Kansas.
Our potential home school’s name? Aegis Academy. Appropriate, no?

I’d say you’re good to go. Good luck with whatever decision you make.

All the best to you and yours in this monumental decision.

Haven’t commented here before, but I just wanted to say good luck to you and your son. I talked my parents into homeschooling me for my last 2 years of highschool, I wish they would have made the decision a lot sooner.
