My Mouth Is Happy Again!

by Venomous Kate

Like half of America, I’ve been low-carbing it. Nothing rigid – I’ve simply simply eliminated sugar and white flour from my diet, and I’m trying to keep my carb intake at 40 grams a day or less. (And, no, I don’t buy that whole “net carb” thing.) Unfortunately, I have an occasional sweet tooth which must be appeased every 28 days or so.

So 7-Eleven’s new Diet Pepsi Slurpee makes me happy. Happy, happy, happy.

Unfortunately, I no longer have a good excuse for going psychotic when PMS strikes. Damn.

  1. Unfortunately, I no longer have a good excuse for going psychotic when PMS strikes. Damn.

I was unaware that an excuse was necessary. As an old married man I’m going to have to re-think my entire life experience.

  2. My GF has put me on a low-carb diet as well…

  3. PMS requires no excuse, it just is. :)

Not much controls mine, but then I have Angry Ovaries From Hell.

Oh well! Have chocolate, will pacify.

  4. If you knew my ex the “P” stood for Permanent.

  5. Hahaha, Quas! I don’t think that’s a low-carb diet I can follow, but more power to you!

  6. Can’t think of anything WORSE-sounding than a “Diet Pepsi Slurpee”. Anything with aspartame in it, to me, has a chemicaly taste. I guess that’s why I’m gaining 10 pounds a month.

  7. quas, finally a low carb diet a can follow.!

  8. Why does a woman need pms as an excuse to be bitchy/psychotic/whatever?

We don’t need excuses. We’re women, incomprehensible to men, and therefore able to get away with just about anything. ;^)

BTW, I no longer suffer pms–I have hot flashes. Great in the winter, hell in the summer, not fun in spring or fall. Oh, and they’re also 24/7.

  9. I’m with the Evil Colonel on that one, but I just cut soda out of my diet completely to solve that issue, just soda water in my bourbon on occasion. Quas has the right idear – rock on, my brother.
