Snow, Glorious Snow!
We got two inches of snow today, which definitely falls short for someone who loves a good weather event as much as I do. Still, it’s better than no snow at all. If the forecast for the beginning of next week is accurate, I should be in for a real treat.
Naturally, I know better than to trust the weatherman, so I’ve been outside enjoying the snow with the Big-Eyed Boy for a good part of today. We’re frozen to the bone but it was worth it: all that fun sledding, throwing snowballs and making snow angels beats blogging any day!
Send it down here to Georgia we will take all of it,our lakes are going dry and its going to be 71 today lol
Having lived through droughts in California when I was a kid, I feel for you. I can’t imagine the fluctuating estimates of the water left in Lake Lanier helps much, either. Sure wish I could send you an acre or two of our snow cover, or even the freezing rain that’s expected later today.
You can still see over the snow drifts, right?
If anybody’s been watching the news, you have some idea what this last week has been like in Oregon. A storm with equivalent Category 3 hurricane force winds on a non-tropical storm is nothing to sneeze at. I’m just glad I don’t need to go to Seattle….I’d have to fly or swim.
I thought everyone in the PNW had webbed feet, so what’s a little swim and some choppy surf to you?
The water’s no problem at all. It’s the hillsides sliding into the water, and the trees hurtling through the air that get me stressed.
Not that much stresses me out at this point. All is right with my world at the moment.
