Ssshhhh. I’m Playing Sims!

I’d said that I didn’t much like Sims 2, and hadn’t really missed it since my daughter “misplaced” the CD. Then last week, my friend Margi convinced me to give it another try.

My, what a difference a couple of years makes.

To top it off, I found an auction listing all of of Sims 2 expansion packs in one lot and won. The UPS dude just dropped them off.

So I’m going to be a bit busy for, oh, the next fourteen hours or so. Talk amongst yourselves.

It’s quite awesome when you have all he expansion packs. I could play it for days with no sleeping or eating. LOL
Have fun Kate!

Unfortunately, after all the time spent installing the expansion packs and then looking for cool stuff to download and add, I was too tired to actually play.

Maybe tonight.

I have all the expansion packs but none of the ’stuff’ packs… but now I *must* go check eBay for them! LOL!

I saw some screenshots of Sims3 but it didn’t look that different… plus I have no idea where I’d get the 500. for the video card needed to push those graphics! ;)

I’d have to get a new laptop, too, and that’s just not going to happen. Maybe I did myself a favor waiting this long to get around to playing Sims 2. It still seems like a brand new game to me!

Mwah ha ha! Welcome to the dark side!

I find it amusing that I can spend hours telling little pixelated people to sleep and shower - all the while neglecting to do the same. Aheh.

I’m sure I’ll have TS3, too. *sings* “At night I’m a simmy addict, good Lord have pity on me.”

(And if you remember the song I’m ripping off, I’ll be very surprised.)

Have fun, sweetie!

Do you ever find yourself walking along in your daily life and imagining those little activity buttons popping up over your head? You know, like a list of icons showing you’ve got to shower, pay bills, call a friend and take out the trash?

No? Maybe I’ve been spending too much time Simming lately.

Incidentally, I think Larry Groce is a hoot.

OH LMAO, Kate. No, but I do look at goods in stores and along the way there - such as houses to build and couches and chairs or wallpaper for my Sims.

I shoulda known you’d know “Junk Food Junkie.” Reason number 4,225 why I love ya.

So, it’s official: I’m really, really weird. In that case, I won’t even tell you about how I sometimes find myself doing stuff around the house and thinking, “Gee, my fun bar is getting low. So’s my social bar. I wonder if VH wants to watch TV together?”

Okay, THAT I do! I even SAY IT OUT LOUD. As in: “Somebody better take me someplace fun or I’ll refuse to clean house or study.”

And I won’t even TELL how close to that whole “Sim nervous breakdown” I am on a weekly basis.

My Sim just had one of those for the first time ever last night. Freaked me out to see the shrink pop up out of no where.

Ironically enough, I’d just spent the better part of the morning having a panic attack of my own.

So, does Sim imitate life or is it vice versa? Sometimes it’s hard to know.

Installing a smoke alarm prevents that.

My better half has the sims 2 deluxe, and freeplay, and university …. I hope to see her again, someday soon. *grin*

Have fun, watch out for Bella Goth, she is in this game too. And keep the Curious brothers away from the telescope on the top of their roof (unless you like big eyed green skin babies).

I’d heard Bella was in this one but I haven’t seen her yet. Then again, I haven’t left Pleasantview. Now that my original Sim died (*sniffle*), I plan to play Strangetown (or whatever it is) tomorrow.

All of Deb’s sims take place in Strangetown (her University is there too). Now if we could just make an *Art Bell* sim, and trailer …
