Oh, no. What happened to poor Remy once he got to the vet’s (or was he just not a candidate for surgery)?

A cat of my mother’s had a hip fracture repaired (hit by a car). When my father realized what she paid to have that done–about $500, and this over 15 years ago–he was furious. But the cat, only four years old when it happened, lived another 10 years afterwards–proving again that the mother is always right.
