I spent the first 30 minutes of my morning on the phone with the internet cable dude, pushing on/off buttons, inserting and withdrawing cables. It might have been fun if I wasn’t so freaking sick of having problems getting online. Just as he was going to transfer me to tech support for even more fun with cables, I told him I’d have to call back after I’d had my caffeine and nicotine jump-start. Naturally, I turned off my cable modem and went outside for a smoke. Hubby, who slept through my entire morning quickie with the cable dude, saw the modem was off and turned it back on. Voila, internet access again!
