When I first discovered blogs, bloggers and blogging just before the Iraq war started, there you were, in the forefront. Not only a good source of both serious information, plus humor, you spent hours of your life helping new bloggers get off the ground. Some asked you for the help, many others just read what you wrote to those who did ask. I was struck by that. I shall not try to overstate but it would not be an overstatement to say that you are one of the people that helped build the world of blogging with an influence far greater than you'll ever know.
