Torrid, Hot and Moist

I get the feeling someone at Accuweather.com is a frustrated romance novelist, based on the image above. Not that the description’s entirely off, mind you: it simply leaves out the part about moist humidity glistening on bare skin yearning to be caressed by a gentle breeze.
Or something like that.
LOL!! My favorite is “Limited Comfort”.
Personally, I’d go with sultry before torrid, but I do think that Strunk & White would side with torrid.
I love when weather forecasters get creative, but not when the torrid heat bubble is only about 20 miles west of me.
All this torrid heat’s making me want to live in a bubble of my own.
Torrid heat, eh? That’s pretty much what we have for nine months out of the year down in Houston. Then it gets slightly less hot. Ha! What’s the one question you do NOT ask when your AC breaks (car or home) during the Houston summer? “How much?” You’re gonna pay… oh yes, you will pay…
So you admit to reading torrid romance novels.
I like how “TUESDAY” is attacking Utah and Colorado.
