
I get the feeling someone at Accuweather.com is a frustrated romance novelist, based on the image above. Not that the description’s entirely off, mind you: it simply leaves out the part about moist humidity glistening on bare skin yearning to be caressed by a gentle breeze.
Or something like that.

Personally, I’d go with sultry before torrid, but I do think that Strunk & White would side with torrid.

I love when weather forecasters get creative, but not when the torrid heat bubble is only about 20 miles west of me.
