Yep, It’s Monday All Right
Sorry for the accidental posting of something that was supposed to be a future entry, along with the rearranging of an entry that I’d meant to post earlier so it wouldn’t remain at the top of the page for the rest of the day.
The fact that these two hiccups occurred should tell you what kind of a Monday I’m having.
How’s yours going?

Mine could best be described as “woozy.” I took some Nyquil last night (bought it for the first time a few days ago to clear up a cold and help me fall asleep in spite of a days-long case of leg twitchies, or Restless Legs Syndrome). And although my cold is gone now, I took some again last night to help me fall asleep in spite of the severe foot twitchies that had my right foot spontaneously raising itself OFF the mattress and shaking violently for a few seconds - about every minute on the minute. After 1.5 hours this becomes just a wee bit annoying, you know?
So, eschewing my usual sleep aids because I need to make those last until my next refill on the 21st, I took the Nyquil and all I can say is “Fuck!” I’ve been feeling somewhat dizzy and very sleepy all day, in spite of two espressos.
So woozy is this Monday. I don’t think I’ll be taking any of that stuff tonight.

NyQuil might be the reason for those twitchies. If I take too much (those little plastic cups get lost) or take it on top of something else I get those twitches. They’re the worst, aren’t they?
I’m sorry you’re not feeling well. Sounds like skipping the NyQuil tonight might be the best thing for you.
No, the twitchies started about 2 weeks ago; I only took the Nyquil late last week for my cold. So the product’s not to blame…
lattegirl’s last blog post..Not dead
Oh, ick. Is it restless legs? Or a reaction to some other med? I get twitchies whenever I take Valium or any of the benzodiazepines. Whole body twitchies.
You have my complete and total sympathy. I know how impossible it is to get rest when your body’s jerking you around like that!
Yep, it’s RLS. Started with both legs, then it was the right arm, and last night the right foot. And two weeks ago it coincided with a cold and a case of roaring tinnitus - so I was a bit of a mess and started hitting the sleeping pills.
I’m sure it’s just a passing phase, though. The tinnitus is gone.
Thanks for the sympathy!

Oooh, baby, RLS sucks! I’m going to assume you’ve tried the whole rebounding, mini-tramp thing as a way to ensure your lymph system is drained before bedtime… right?
Looks like I’ve hijacked your comments today. Where’s everyone else saying what <they’re doing today?
So what is rebounding and mini-tramp? Please tell me, I would definitely try it tonight.
lattegirl’s last blog post..Not dead
Rebounding is jumping on an indoor mini-trampoline. It’s low-impact, so it’s easy on your joints while providing good exercise. It’s easy to do while watching TV, so it’s hard to come up with an excuse NOT to exercise.
Though somehow I still manage to.
I’m home sick, with a pregnant girlfriend and three kids demanding I entertain them. I ate some cottage cheese a little while ago against my better judgement, because it looked realy good….now I have a mild reaction to the dairy on top of the other fun stuff.
bleh. Being sick sucks.

I raise one “that time of the month” on top of two days of nausea and back aches.
kimsch’s last blog post..Monday Morning Musings
Ok, I see you’re “time of the month” and raise you a pinched sciatic nerve plus a son whose birthday is 5 days away who knows you’re in so much pain you can’t move off the sofa to stop him from looking for his presents.
At least my oldest hasn’t started that yet, and with Red being 4 1/2 months along, it’s not an issue from that angle yet.
I can hardly wait….in about four years, I’ll have three girls age 12, 14, and 18 in this house. :/

Poor, poor man. All that estrogen in the house. Do you know about the new little red/wg yet? estrogen or testosterone?
kimsch’s last blog post..Monday Morning Musings
Oh yes. Red started laughing when she saw the ultrasound, because as she said, he’s as proud of his junk as his daddy. lol
Couldn’t get a decent face shot of him, though - he was being a booger and had his head behind Red’s bladder and would not move, regardless of our efforts.

My oldest spun around and spread her legs so we got a great shot of her “Herness” - then she closed and opened her eyes, stuck out her tongue, sucked her thumb, and finally did a baby wave before she was all done. We didn’t get pictures then and they wouldn’t give us a video for liability reasons.

Get that kid on American Idol!
wg’s last blog post..Gestational rhythm?
“Liability reasons?” What, they were worried you’d use the video against her?
There was an issue with video of ultrasounds because if something turned out wrong with the baby and they didn’t catch it and the video would show that they should have caught it…..

Yeah, can’t have somebody fact-checking doctors. What would this world come to? :/

And doctor’s wonder why lawyers speak of the “conspiracy of silence” whenever they DO get caught in malpractice.

I think that’s pretty common to any emergency-service or high-risk profession, and it has always offended me.

She does love to sing, but she’s developmentally delayed, has a hearing impairment, epilepsy, and lupus. Poor girl. But we love her immensely! Wouldn’t be without her, ever.
I wouldn’t put her through Idol auditions, she doesn’t need to make the “worst” DVD. She’s fairly good at humming the melodies, but she really doesn’t know or enunciate the words.
kimsch’s last blog post..Seasons Change
kimsch - how old is your daughter? My first reaction is to think “Poor little thing” but I doubt that’s politically correct. Lupus, though? That really, majorly sucks. I have a sis-in-law who’s lived with lupus all her life and it doesn’t slow her down one bit, mind you.
lattegirl’s last blog post..Winter treat
She’ll be 18 in November, but she is a little thing still. She was only 4 pounds 10 ounces when she was born (3 weeks early) - in fact her little brother The Little Guy was born the day before her 10th birthday. He was 6 pounds even and also three weeks early.
She’s under 5 feet tall.
