Evidently, the latest dining craze is Naked Sushi.
The sushi at one Seattle nightspot is raw — and naked.
The Bonzai features a monthly naked sushi event. The bits of raw fish are served on the body of a nearly nude woman. Promoter Cheresa Nemitz says the naked sushi is more like performance art. But some activists at the University of Washington don’t agree. One says using a woman as a plate is dehumanizing. At Bonzai, seven models work in half-hour shifts. The sushi is served on clear plastic wrap on their midsections. The models also wear thongs and a few strategically placed flower petals.
Oh, flower petals. Yeah, that changes everything. It’s not objectifying women: it’s Art.
UPDATE: ErosBlog has photos from the food service area. (Not safe for work.)
