Looking Good Enough To Eat
Does anyone remember that “marital tip” that advised women to greet their husband’s at the door as they arrived home from work, wearing nothing but plastic wrap? Now you can follow the advice and get out of cooking dinner all at the same time.
Brazilian scientists say they have created an edible cling film.
After 12 months of studies, researchers at Campinas State University in Sao Paulo came up with a cling film made from amaranto flour.
Amaranto is a nutritious cereal that was widely cultivated in South America before the arrival of Europeans.
Scientists Florencia Cecilia Menegalli told UOL Inovacao: “Our cling film is biodegradable, cheap and has a high level of protein.
Wow, all this and Atkins-friendly, too.
