		<description>I don&#039;t know that it will be &quot;too late&quot; for SC nominations in 2009.  Much as I&#039;d like to see Justices Stevens, Breyer, Souter and Ginsburg all retire before then, I don&#039;t think that&#039;s going to happen.  I disagree with Bryan&#039;s point about &quot;balance,&quot; however, at least as it relates to the court.  The court&#039;s job is to apply the law, not to strike a &quot;balance&quot; between the conservatives who apply it faithfully and liberals who find ways to discover hidden meanings in the law right and left, all of which just &quot;happen&quot; to coincide with their political views.  Even if such &quot;balance&quot; were desirable, we get enough of that among Republican appointees.</description>

		<description>You are absoloutely right.  Balance in government is paramount, whether anyone wants to admit it or not.   The GOP has had its run and people now want the pendulum to swing the other way.  2008 will see the Dem&#039;s regain some power.
