Two Indiana congressional challengers agreed to be hooked up to a polygraph during their political debate. Not surprisingly, the incumbent candidate has declined.
“Polygraphs have their use in law enforcement, but I don’t see them fitting in a political debate,” (9th District Democratic Chairman Mike) Jones said. “There are plenty of avenues for finding out each candidate’s true position.”
Personally, I rather like the idea, although I don’t think its really necessary. We can all tell when a politician’s lying: his lips are moving.

Great idea, except for what do you do about the ones that believe their own lies?
