Hey, if they can make Barack Obama dinner plates, why not a Sarah Palin wall calendar?
The GOP’s Answer To Obama
My latest column, Sarah Palin: The GOP’s Best Hope in 2012, is up at Pajamas Media.
Update: And, evidently, it has earned me yet another title: “It’s Katherine Berry! PJM’s! most! controversial! voice!” Yep, it’s true: some days it’s just downright fun to be me.
A Fatwa Over Flirting
Who ever thought they’d live to see the day when both Pakistani feminists and that country’s hardcore Islamic clergy actually agreed on something? But that’s precisely what’s happened following President Asif Ali Zardari’s flirtatious comments to Sarah Palin.
A radical Muslim prayer leader said the president shamed the nation for “indecent gestures, filthy remarks, and repeated praise of a non-Muslim lady wearing a short skirt.”
Feminists charged that once again a male Pakistani leader has embarrassed the country with sexist remarks.
No, it wasn’t simply that he called her “gorgeous” at the UN meet-and-greet last week. Nor was it because he said, “Now I know why the whole of America is crazy about you.” What actually led the leaders of Lal Masjid (Red Mosque) in Islamabad to issue a fatwa on Zardari was his statement to his handler that he’d be happy to hug Palin.
Fortunately for Zardari, the fatwa doesn’t recommend violence, or even any other action. To bring that down on his head, I guess Zardi would’ve had to ask Palin if she wanted to see his moose gun.
Sandra Bernhard Needs A Big Dose Of Shut Up
My latest Pajama Media article is up and it’s not open for interpre-ta-tion.
Sarah Palin’s Appeal In Small Towns
My article, Why Small Town Folks Heart Sarah Palin is up at Pajamas Media.
Sarah Palin: The Facts and The Fiction
Charlie Martin has an excellent lists of facts and fiction about Sarah Palin up at Pamajas Media. Sure, the text is a bit scrunched but it’s well worth the effort. Besides, squinting at your screen will give you that cool Clint Eastwood look. So go ahead, read it and it’ll make your day.
Real Audacity. Real Hope. Real Change.
I got the button in the right sidebar from Kim, who found it via the Anchoress who got it from her friend Shana.
But, being me, I just couldn’t leave well enough alone. Also, I couldn’t get it to look right against the dark background in my sidebar. So I’ve added a flag background to mine, and you’re welcome to snag a copy of it. There’s a nifty copy-and-paste box after the jump for those of you who aren’t comfortable typing HTML statements to handle such things.
Enjoy!
