Google Talk… Grrrrr.
Three hours and seventeen minutes. That’s how long I’ve been tweaking, tapping and screaming at my computer, trying to get Google Talk to work. (And, by the way, whoever took VenomousKate as a Gmail address: I hope all of your teeth fall out.)
Anyway, each time I try to log in to Google Talk, a notice comes up that directs me to the Google Accounts page to unlock my account. When I go there, I have no problem logging into Gmail but I see nothing about unlocking my account. And, naturally, there’s nothing in the FAQs or Knowledge Base about this problem.
I feel so left out.
::sniffle::

Hey Kate…I just downloaded and installed it in less than 30 seconds. Problem is, I wasn’t even aware of it til your post and don’t know anyone else on it. ::: sniffle ::: indeed.
I’ll be on and off all night if you want to try and get to me.

I’m surprised that nobody sniped isfullofcrap. out from under me to annoy me.
try uninstalling and reinstalling. I didn’t have any issues either. Hmm…
I’ve uninstalled & reinstalled. I’ve tried it with my firewall off. I’ve tried it using IE 6.0 (Yuck!) and Opera. I’ve tried it on the upstairs computer and the downstairs one, too.
I am TOTALLY stumped.
email your ID to someone else with gmail loaded and see if we can’t connect to you
YAIM .. Kate .. don’t worry the hype will die down
soon enough and everybody will go back to aim,
yahoo, msn and icq. By the way, if any of you are
looking for a client that works with all of them
check out Gaim. Its really sweet and allows for
tabbed chats just like tabbed pages in your browser.
Try logging into Google Newsgroups. It may pop up a screen about synchronizing your email addy’s. If it does it should do the same thing for all Google apps.
Hisses,
Mike
Laurence: Now that you mention it, I wish I’d thought of that.
Hah!
Well, I’ve had it since Thursday and had one chat with Stryker. Not much cooler than any other kind of chat.
