EEEE!! This time? I’ll buy a whole new computer for my Simmies if I hafta. This time? I’m not going to give up my Sims 2 people. (I gave all my Sims 1 stuff to my son.) This time? It sounds verrry intriguing, doesn’t it?

I have had every iteration of this godddamn game; I’m sure I’ll buy all of this series too.

I believe Maxis and/or EA Games has my MasterCard on a special Rolodex. *sigh*

P.S. Video has *poofed* on you.

I never could quite get into Sims 2 when it first came out. By the time I was bored with the original Sims (I bought it late), my daughter had already snagged my Sims2 CDs.

I’m keeping Sims 3 to myself.

BTW, thanks for the heads up on the video. Maxis is keeping this as mum as possible, so here’s a new one they’ve approved. It shows a Sim 2 playing Sims 3, and for now that’s all they’ll let us see.

We got Sims 1 with our computer a few years ago. Hubby played it once. He burned down the house several times and killed his family.

kimsch’s last blog post..Easter Cactus?

The boy calls the Sims “potty ladies” (most of my Sims are females) because he thinks it’s hilarious when they forget to go and wind up peeing on the floor.

I can’t wait!! I’m so addicted to Sims2 already…

Yeah, I’ll have to hire a maid when it’s released cause I have a feeling it’s going to suck me in…

Just make sure your maid doesn’t get near your computer or she’ll get hooked, too!

Hey Kate, lookit this:

http://thesims3.ea.com/home.php?languageCode=1

A little more insight into what’s going to be available. But not much. I think Maxis/EA is keeping it mum because it’s still mostly in development. But that’s just my speculation.

I bought Sims 1 for my middle son (when he was still my youngest son. LOL) and after he learned all the ways to kill off a Sim, he got bored with it. Frankly? I didn’t do much gameplay in Sims 1, either. I would build elaborate homes with custom content downloaded from The Sims Resource.

It was only in Sims 2 that I became more involved with gameplay. There was a bigger element of personality and “free will” in Sims 2. So I’m very, very interested to see what they build into Sims 3.

Also? Seasons was, hands down, the best new action in the game. Having that element really changed the way I played the game. I actually “play” it more. So yeah.

And I sound like an idiot, I know. But I don’t play ANY other computer games or console games. The only other console game I liked as much as The Sims was Super Mario Brothers 3. Heh.

And I really don’t get that much time to play - I know if I start it up, I’m going to be playing for hours. So I only play when I’ve got a whole day to kill.

And I’ll just let my obsessive-compulsive out of the comment back door, now.

Ah, see, the need to interact was what got to me with Sims 2. I wanted a game that I could zone out while playing, and building my luxury homes with Sims 1 let me do that.

When I got the one that lets them be musicians (can’t remember the name of that one), I really started loving it. I wasn’t much of a fan of Makin’ Magic, though I do play it now.

I’d probably be ready to get into Sims 2 these days but can’t get my daughter to give me the darn CD back. She keeps “forgetting” it at her dad’s house.

*sigh*

Kids.

I had to wait for a new computer to play Sims2. By the time Mr. Beloved gave me a new computer, Sims2 had been out a couple of years with lots of expansion options. Yay! Now, I’m trying to make my Sims into vampires.

What I like most is that the babies in Sims2 grow up to become adults!! I got bored with the kids in Sims 1, so sometimes I’d kill them or send them to military school, just to get them out of the house. :-)

That, in a nutshell, is why I run more than one blog.

Oh WAIT! You meant “Sim” kids.

Silly me.
