Meryl, Kelley and a few others have noticed that EV is loading more slowly these days. I have little doubt that the problem is related to a combination of increased traffic calling on the java-scripts I’m running (i.e., the blogroll and the random photo script) along with the Technorati listing of the blogs that have recently linked to EV (the “Envenomated”). The .gif and .jpg files run off of my server, so I doubt that they’re causing a problem, but I’ll be replacing the random photo with one picture that I’ll switch out at whim.

Obviously, I do not want the traffic to decrease. So that leaves me with a couple of big decisions to make. Although it’s my blog, I’d like to solicit some input from you. Which should I move the list of blogs I read (“Whither I Slither”) or the list of the blogs to have recently linked to EV (which, unlike the “Nibbles” reflected under entries, also includes blogs that don’t have TrackBack enabled)?

Given a choice between the two, I’m inclined to move the blogroll. What say you?
