My, What A Short Memory The IAEA Has
The IAEA chimes in on the nuclear parts and plans unearthed by an Iraqi scientist recently and shared with the CIA:
The International Atomic Energy Agency said Thursday the parts needed to develop a bomb program that the CIA says were found in Baghdad are not “evidence of a smoking gun” proving Iraq had a current weapons of mass destruction program.
“The findings refer to material and documents of the pre-1991 Iraqi nuclear weapons program that have been well-known to the agency,” said spokesman Mark Gwozdecky.
Really??? See, I seem to recall a certain report in 1991 where UNSCOM claimed to have seized or destroyed most of the hidden parts and documents.
And another signed by Blix in 1995 which said the IAEA was confident it had discovered and destroyed the remainders of the nuclear program.
Oh, and another in 1998 when IAEA said it was now confident that Iraq had disclosed everything related to its nuclear program.
And what about that statement earlier this year by the IAEA to the UN in which ElBaradei said there was no evidence that Iraq continued to possess the ability to design a nuclear bomb, and no indication whatsoever of efforts or plans to revive a uranium enrichment program?
Silly wabbit. Blix is for kids.
