I did it!
50,183 words with 13 hours to go. I did it! I finished National Novel Writing Month, with at least a fourth of my liver intact.
Ah well, at least there’s time for a good, long nap before National Novel Finishing Month begins.

“….and in the frozen lands of Nod, they were forced to eat Sir Robyn’s minstrels. And there was much rejoicing.”
Congratulations!! Good on you.
I can’t believe I actually stuck in there, particularly with those days off surrounding the in-laws anniversary. It was hard getting the momentum back, so I’m tempted NOT to take a break from it right now — just keep plugging away until the novel’s complete. On the other hand, I’m looking forward to having time to clean house again.
(Wait, did I just type that? I meant: I’m looking foward to having a clean house again… but dreading that I have to be the one who cleans it!)
Congrats Kate! I tried but will not make it in time. I have a good start at least.
SWEET! Conga Rats!
Conga Rats?! The fact I’m not envisioning a line of dancing rodents clad in grass skirts and straw hats ought to tell you how tired I am.
WooHoo!!! Yay! How wonderful!
I think you should get something special for finishing the 50K under adversity. *grin*
Anyhow, Congratulations!
Oh, but I did get something: a 50,108 word start on a novel I’ve been dying to write for years.
Congratulations back at you for finishing, too!
We rock. Uh-huh. We do.
Of course you did it! We never doubted you wouldn’t! You are not only Venemous, but Tenacious with a capital ‘T’! (totally envious, living vicariously…. while admittedly lazy and undisciplined….) Congratulations……………..gee, I think this marvelous accomplishment is worthy of the offspring taking the opportunity to clean the house for you as you have not only been gracious in bringing them into the world but also setting a great example of a true ’stick-to-it’ work ethic which is a lost art form in this world!
